This Sunday (Sept. 6) is Creation in Christ Sunday - a new festival to remember our place in the world God made.
"Creation in Christ Sunday (Feast of Creation) is a new ecumenical observance encouraged for ELCA congregations around Sept. 1, celebrating God as creator and the mystery that all things are created through Christ, and calling us to care lovingly for the whole created world. Rooted in Orthodox liturgical tradition and supported by bodies such as the Lutheran World Federation and World Council of Churches, this feast invites worshiping communities to use the proposed lectionary texts and local discernment to highlight creation care as part of our baptismal vocation to “a faith that is active in love” and justice." from elca.org
