A little bit about our church when you're coming to visit...
Service is Sundays at 9:30am in our sanctuary. Everything to follow is printed in the bulletin, which we also have in large print, so you don't need to have anything memorized to join in. Worship usually lasts about an hour.
We use the traditional Lutheran order of servic, following the seasons of the church year. This includes lots of singing, some prayers we speak together, a sermon, and communion every week.
This is always a biggie, since a lot of churches require you to be a member of their denomination to participate. At Christ Lutheran all who worship are invited to take communion. Kids are welcome to take communion too, without any age limit. The bread is all gluten free, and you can receive either wine or grape juice.
Kids are a part of our worship, from helping with communion or lighting the candles to reading. Each week the pastor does a children's sermon, and after that kids can go to Godly Play (our Sunday school) for about the next half hour, and come back to worship around when communion. Our nursery is also available for parents with small kids.
The church has plentiful off-street parking on all sides of the building.
Come as you are. We're not that formal of a church.
Bathrooms are on the main floor, with a special single-person handicapped accessible bathroom adjoining the nursery (which is also much closer to the sanctuary)
