When we are baptized as children our parents make promises to raise us in the Christian faith, take us to worship, and teach us the Lord's Prayer, the Creed, and the Ten Commandments. To become adult members, youth need to go through this two-year course on the Bible, Lutheranism, and ethical Christian living, preferably in 7th and 8th grades (they can start later if needed). When completed they affirm the vows made in baptism by their parents, and make those same promises to do on their own. The "confirm" their faith.
Confirmation classes are open to youth exploring their faith, as well as members of the church. Taught by Pastor Lars on selected Sunday afternoons throughout the year.
